TIBET HOUSE CALIFORNIA
Heritage that connects.
Learning that continues.
Dedicated to preserving and promoting Tibetan culture, with a commitment to promoting education in India.
Our purpose
Tibet House California celebrates the culture of Tibet and the importance of carrying its knowledge and traditions forward. We invite people of all backgrounds to approach this heritage with curiosity, care, and respect.
Culture connects people across generations. It gives expression to memory and identity, while offering a meeting place for new conversations. Preserving culture means valuing both its history and the people who continue to give it life.
Our cultural focus
Art, language, stories, wisdom, and everyday traditions each offer a way to learn about Tibet. Together, they reveal a heritage that reaches beyond any single object, place, or moment.
We encourage thoughtful exploration and an appreciation of the voices, skills, and experiences that sustain this culture.
Education in India
Tibet House California is also engaged in promoting education in India. This commitment shares a purpose with our cultural mission: helping knowledge move forward and remain a meaningful part of people's lives.
We see learning as a continuing relationship—with our heritage, with one another, and with the possibilities ahead.
A special blessing
Our original website features a video titled His Holiness the Dalai Lama Blesses Tibet House California. We continue to share that moment as part of the story of Tibet House California.
